We are looking for an experienced Head of Science Technology and Laboratories to act as our laboratory and Cleanroomspecialist to support our continual expansion into the Life Science workplace design and build sector. Ideally, you will have a scientific background, experience of working within a laboratory environment and a desire to share your knowledge and experience to support the design and delivery of laboratory projects. It would also be an advantage if you have a deep understanding of the advancement and application of technology within the sector from both laboratory and cleanroom design and end user perspective.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience working within the life science sector.
  • Experience of working in a laboratory.
  • Degree level qualification in Science / Life Science/ Chemical or related subjects.
  • Deep understanding of the different types of laboratories and regulations.
  • Interest in laboratory design, installation, and technical issues.
  • Broad understanding of technology trends within the life science sector, (e.g. micro-electronics, Al and Analytics, IoMT and MedTech) to ensure we continually evolve our services and expertise, to align with technology advancements and end user requirements, now and in the future.
  • Ability to interpret the clients (landlord or tenant/end user) requirements, converting a brief into a laboratory design, exceeding expectations. 
  • Ability to engage with scientists and end users, guiding on laboratory design, furniture, GLP and GMP.
  • Lead the production of pitch documents for presentations and act as a co-ordinator between the pitch team (Pre-con, Design, Visualisation,  Graphics and Admin) to ensure that all pitch documents are coherent and ready for deadlines. 
  • Strong communication skills, confident presenter, able to join client meetings and pitch presentations, acting as the laboratory expert.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and to confidently deliver commercially sound solutions.
  • An established scientific community network preferred.
  • Act as a Life Science and Laboratories thought leader.
  • A full driving license
  • All applicable candidates must reside in the UK preferably in the Southeast / Oxfordshire / Cambridgeshire boarders, with UK travel as necessary

We are looking for a motivated and articulate HR and Culture Manager to join our team. Working with the CEO and senior administration you will help deliver a people-focussed, high quality HR service that supports the AIS Group business goals. 

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced HR Manager, used to working in a fast-paced environment, with a good knowledge of HR policies and procedures and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to the following:        

  • Facilitate and drive business improvement by diagnosing and identifying improved approaches to Employee Relations and Workforce issues 
  • Manage recruitment, retention and succession planning 
  • Shape and inspire a unified and distinct culture across the agency
  • Employee development, needs assessment and training
  • Policy development and documentation
  • Drive a high performance culture by challenging and coaching management teams, managing change programmes and attending key management meetings.
  • Provide generalist HR service to managers covering the full scope of compensation and benefits, management development, resource management, employment law risk and employee relations.  
  • Support staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
  • Coach/train managers to enable them to effectively lead their teams to achieve high levels of performance and motivation.
  • Have strong experience of driving business improvement and efficiency through development of KPIs and commercial analysis.
  • Ensure a safe and thriving wellbeing focussed environment for all employees
  • Actively participate in Group/Divisional HR projects as appropriate.
  • Maintain progressive work structures by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Support the acquisition of new business opportunities by writing answers to PQQ HR related questions and attending contract interviews with clients.  
  • You will have a thorough knowledge of employment law as well as good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven experience in influencing and negotiating.
  • You will be relationship focussed and able to recognise when there are conflicts, acknowledge the feelings and views of all parties, and redirect people’s energy towards a common goal
  • Show integrity, fairness and consistency in decision-making

Flexible working minimum 3 days to full time depending on experience.
